Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking an experienced Industrialization Leader to drive the industrialization of high-power conversion platforms for renewable energy and energy storage. You will lead the India R&D Industrialization team, ensuring manufacturing readiness, lab capability, pilot builds, and supplier qualification across global programs.

The role requires 10+ years in industrialization and manufacturing engineering, with a track record of transferring prototypes into serial production

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrialization, manufacturing engineering, NPI, or product development with leadership experience.
• Experience transferring complex electromechanical products from prototypes to serial production.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing readiness, DFM, process engineering, quality planning, and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the India R&D Industrialization team, defining priorities, resources, and delivery commitments.
• Build and execute the power converter industrialization roadmap, including documentation, processes, tooling, and test infrastructure.
• Coordinate industrialization activities with global R&D, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and suppliers.
• Establish and operate the India industrialization laboratory with assembly areas, tooling, and test infrastructure.
• Ensure readiness and quality of manufacturing deliverables, including BOMs, drawings, 3D models, and QC plans.
• Lead prototype, pilot, and first-article builds, pre-series, and ramp-up, turning feedback into improvements.
