Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the Philippines is looking for an on-site Inspection Technician to perform detailed inspection of aviation components in accordance with FAA regulations and customer requirements.

You will collect data, prepare inspection records, and assist Engineering with improvements, while adhering to safety and EHS practices across the site.

Candidates should have at least 18 months hands-on experience in disassembly, inspection, assembly, and testing, and preferably a CAAP license.

Qualifications

• Familiar with FAA regulations and customer requirements.
• Experience disassembling, inspecting, assembling and testing aviation components.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret regulatory and repair documentation.

Job Description

• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions during the inspection process in accordance with established procedures, repair department documentation, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform inspection and 8130-3 form training.
• Assist management in identifying methods or actions to rectify malfunctions.
• Provide details to assist Engineering in product improvement based on findings from the repair process and inspection activities.
• Analyze and interpret fault isolation and operational test data of components to ensure conformance with final product specifications.
• Perform visual inspection of incoming customer products.
• Act independently to determine compliance with applicable regulations and customer/manufacturer requirements.
• Prepare inspection records, reports, and documentation as required by regulations and customer requirements.
• Participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations and customer/manufacturer requirements for the equipment being repaired.
• Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, repair, and overhaul activities.
• Minimum of 18 months’ experience in disassembling, inspecting, assembling, and testing aviation components/equipment.
• Minimum educational level of school level or apprenticeship, evidenced by appropriate certificates. Preferably holding a CAAP license.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills.
