Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the Philippines is seeking an Inspection Technician to join our Onsite team in Tanauan. You will define problems, collect data, and ensure inspection procedures meet customer and regulatory requirements during repair operations.

You will perform visual inspections, training on 8130-3 forms, and production of records while adhering to EHS standards. Strong communication and hands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FAA regulations and customer/manufacturer requirements.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, repair and overhaul.
• Minimum 18 months experience disassembling, inspecting, assembling, and testing aviation components.
• HS diploma or equivalent; CAAP license preferred.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient.
• Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills.

What You Will Do

• Define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusion during the inspection process that meet established procedures as outlined by the repair department documentation, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Inspection and 8130-3 forms training.
• Assist management in methods or actions to rectify malfunction.
• Provide details to assist engineering in product improvement as discovered through the repair process and inspection findings.
• Analyze and interpret fault isolation and operational test data of components to ensure conformance with final product specification.
• Perform visual inspection of incoming customer products.
• Act independently to determine compliance of applicable regulations and customer/manufacturer requirements.
• Produce inspection records, reports or documentation as required per regulations and customer requirement.
• Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well‑being of self and others.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in applicable FAA regulations and customer/manufacturer requirements for the equipment being repaired.
• Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical / electro‑mechanical assembly, disassembly, repair and overhaul activities.
• Minimum 18 months experience disassembling, inspecting; assembling; and testing aviation component / equipment.
• Minimum educational level shall be a school level or apprenticeship evidenced by the appropriate certificates. Preferably holding CAAP license.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient.
• Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
