Qualifications

• Experience supporting PCNs, sample management, product qualification, or change management processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage customer sample requests related to PCNs.
• Focal point for sample planning, allocation, tracking, and shipment activities.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure sample availability and on-time delivery.
• Maintain records of all PCN sample requests, shipments, and customer feedback.
• Monitor sample status including availability, shipment readiness, delivery timelines, and customer qualification status.
• Escalate delays or issues impacting qualification activities and support audit readiness with proper documentation.

Job Description

I. Basic Purpose of the Job

The Quality Engineer - PCN Samples Support is responsible for coordinating and managing sample requests associated with Product Change Notifications (PCNs) to support customer qualification, validation, and approval activities. This role ensures timely sample fulfillment, effective communication among stakeholders, and accurate tracking of sample-related activities to support successful implementation of product and process changes while maintaining customer satisfaction.

II. Reporting Relationship

The newly hired PCN Samples Support will report directly to the Quality Systems Section Manager (GQS Philippines).

III. Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage customer sample requests related to Product Change Notifications (PCNs).
• Serve as the focal point for sample planning, allocation, tracking, and shipment activities supporting PCN implementations.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure sample availability and on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of all PCN sample requests, shipments, and customer feedback.
• Monitor and track sample request status, including:
  • Sample availability
  • Shipment readiness
  • Delivery timelines
  • Customer qualification status
  • Approval completion
• Ensure sample requests are aligned with PCN schedules and implementation timelines.
• Escalate potential delays, shortages, or issues that may impact customer qualification activities.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining complete documentation and traceability for PCN sample activities.
• Prepare and distribute periodic reports on sample request status, fulfillment performance, and customer approvals.
• Work closely with global stakeholders across Quality, Program Management, Business Units, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales/Order Management.
• Provide global support across US, Europe, and Asia time zones as required.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.

Experience

• Several years of experience in customer service, supply chain coordination, program support, quality systems, manufacturing operations, or related functions.
• Experience supporting PCNs, sample management, product qualification, or change management processes is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Working knowledge of Product Change Notification (PCN) processes and customer qualification requirements.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, sample tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to proactively address issues.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams and support multiple time zones.
