Job summary

IBM Consulting in the Philippines is seeking a Quality Engineer with a functional focus to design and execute testing for applications and systems built using custom technologies.

You will perform manual and automation testing, develop test scenarios, estimate efforts, report defects, and drive continuous improvements in overall quality.

Familiarity with testing methodologies, testing tools, and Agile, Cloud, and DevOps practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Exposure to testing methodologies across functional, system integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on with testing tools and BDD/TDD approaches to optimize testing.
• Core testing principles and practical domain knowledge.
• Experience in manual and automation testing, including defect reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design test scenarios, plan activities, estimate effort, and define data requirements.
• Execute manual and automation testing, report status, and address defects.
• Analyze test outcomes to drive process improvements and quality.
• Utilize testing tools and accelerators to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
• Report defects and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
