Job Title: Quality Assurance Team Leader

The Cadetship Training Program (CTP) is a six-month development track designed for high-potential Team Leads, Frontline Operatives, and pioneering hires for CCEAP’s Greenfield Plant in Tarlac. The first two months focus on classroom-based learning at our Sta. Rosa Laguna Training Center, covering end-to-end Supply Chain fundamentals and Frontline Leadership skills. After, cadets apply what they’ve learned through On-the-Job Training - which includes a process improvement project and mentorship from site leaders at their assigned site. The program concludes with a revalida and project presentation. Completion of the program is required for regularization and role placement, and all cadets receive a certificate upon graduation.

The Quality Assurance Team Leader is responsible for leading the QA Team, in his/her assigned area, in ensuring the quality, food safety, and integrity of products and processes, and ensuring continuous improvement by driving sustainability in the manufacturing operations in accordance to the requirements and specifications set by the (a) Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, (b) the Coca-Cola Operating Requirements, (c) applicable international standards, and (d) pertinent laws and regulations of the Philippines.

Responsibilities

1. Business Planning

  • Conducts strategic planning for quality and food safety improvement on the area being handled
  • Performs benchmarking and replication activities to identify improvement opportunities for overall quality and food safety performance.
  • Conducts budget preparation and review based on strategic plans for the laboratory management

2. Quality and Food Safety Operations

  • Analyse results of the performance indices and manage variables to attain quality goals and objectives.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control programs and routines are effective and in place.

3. Laboratory Management

  • Reviews the quality performance by checking Quality Assurance analyses results and trends
  • Leads the QA Area Team Meeting for the team to discuss previous performance and provide direction setting
  • Participates in and provides inputs during the QA Department Meeting to align plans and report performance

4. Management System Implementation

  • Supports the maintenance of the certification status and compliance of the Manufacturing Facility to ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000
  • Participates in QRA and FSRA review according to the requirement of the management system
  • Participates in and conducts Plant audits
  • Ensures that documentation and records keeping are effectively done
  • Ensures compliance of the whole team with all management system policies

5. People Administration and Development

  • Conducts interviews and selects, the most suitable candidate for vacant positions in his team.
  • Provides regular coaching and mentoring to assigned associates to ensure that expectations from the role are constantly met.
  • Conducts regular performance reviews to manage team performance and to set a clear career plan of his/her direct reports.
  • Identifies training gaps of each member of the team and facilitates the execution of the training plans to ensure that a career development plan for each associate is provided.
  • Develop and implement effective feedback and recognition system for his direct reports.
  • Reviews and Approves the attendance of the team, including leaves, shifting and overtime, to ensure continuous operations and compliance with cost directions, budget and Company policies and procedures.
  • Implements Company rules and regulations among his direct reports and performs consequence management or institute disciplinary measures in cases of violations.
  • Spearheads People Development Forum/ Succession Planning for his team with the rest of the leadership team and ensures progress on the identified development areas for each of his subordinates.
  • Works with the rest of the management team in laying-down and executing programs in his area of assignment.
  • Review contracts of service provider and provides People team opportunities areas.
  • Responsible in promoting industrial peace and cultivating engaged labor unions; ensures they are aligned with company directions.
  • Actively participates in the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. Leads closure of grievance cases and LMC issues and concerns.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Develops and ensures implementation of Corrective Actions Plans (CAP) for missed KPIs and non-compliance
  • Conducts regular performance reviews to identify action steps to ensure consistently good KPI results
  • Manages special projects that will be assigned to the team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any Science or Engineering course
  • 6-10 years of experience in Manufacturing
  • Skills in: (1) Microsoft Office, (2) root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, and (3) leadership and collaboration skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
