Job description

A Quality Assurance Specialist reports to a QA Lead. Works closely with QA lead, QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, Project managers, designers and developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered. He/She Provides execution of QA tasks with speed and great quality for the overall agility of the QA team.

You Will:
  • Is co-responsible for the quality of projects based on therequirements and design specifications.
  • Responsible for attendingmeetingsproviding status, takingnotesand providing feedback when needed.
  • Should be able to communicate test results, issues, and risks found to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the different channels.
  • Creating andmaintainingcomprehensive test plans
  • Writing andmaintainingtest cases/scripts
  • Create traceability matrix documents based upon project requirements
  • Create checklist documentation based upon project requirements
  • Effectively communicating statuses
  • Apply industry standard testingmethodology,strategiesand industry best practices
  • Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution
  • Report creation and related metrics atdifferent levelswhen necessary
  • Support the team on onboardingco-workersand/or junior staff members
  • Should be able to execute regression tests based on design specifications and requirements
  • Expected tosupportQA estimationsif needed.
  • Expected tofully understandproject life cycle and industry standards.
  • Expected tofully understandtesting methodologies
  • Expected to ask all necessary questions when tasks, requirements or informationisn’tclear or missing
  • Shouldbe able to work with other team members to ensure the success of projects.
  • Should be able to analyze and understand details and requirements of projects and tickets
You Have:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience .
  • KnowledgeofAgile Methodologies for software development
  • Experience working with local and offshore teams
  • Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jiraand/or similar
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows orMacOS software is expected.
