Job summary

Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a QAC Engineer to oversee project quality control activities. You will review contract specifications, identify project requirements, and ensure timely development and approval of quality procedures and plans.

You will conduct QC inspections, support verification of results, prepare testing plans, monitor punch-list closeouts, and perform vendor surveillance to ensure compliance of materials and workmanship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (Licensed Engineer).
• Experience in substations and transmission lines preferred.
• Knowledge of quality international standards.
• Willing to be assigned to Malita, Davao Occidental.

Responsibilities

• Conducts QC inspections and testing and reports to Lead QA and QC Engineers.
• Verifies quality inspection and testing results to ensure materials and workmanship conform to specifications.
• Prepares QC inspections checklist, inspection and testing plans, and project quality plans for the project.
• Monitors and records the close out of punch list items.
• Performs spot check and surveillance on vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure delivery compliance.

Job description

The QAC Engineer handles the performance monitoring of the project quality control activities. He/she reviews contract specifications, identifies the project specific requirements and ensures the timely development and approval of quality procedures and plans.

Job Descriptions

• Conducts QC Inspection and Testing activities and reports generated to the relevant Lead QA and QC Engineers.
• Provides support and assistance in verification of quality inspection and testing results/activities of the assigned project to ensure that materials and workmanship conform to relevant specifications, applicable codes.
• Prepares QC inspections checklist, inspection and testing plans and project quality plan specific to the project assigned in coordination with the Lead QA and QC Engineers.
• Monitors and records the close out of punch list items.
• Performs spot check and surveillance to the vendor, supplier and sub-contractor to ensure compliance delivery.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineer (A Licensed Engineer)
• Preferably with work experience in the Substation and Transmission Line.
• Knowledgeable in quality international standards.
• Must be willing to be assigned to Malita, Davao Occidental
