Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Calamba Laguna area is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that materials and finished products meet the quality and safety standards defined in documentation.

You will approve incoming and in-process materials, perform visual and lever/measurement tests with calipers and micrometers, maintain the inspection log, flag nonconformances, and coordinate with engineering to drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Education: At least second year College level.
• Experience: At least one year as Quality Inspector in related field.
• Proficient in MS Excel and SAP; able to use basic metrology tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards from inbound to finished goods.
• Approve incoming materials, perform visual/measurement tests, and reject nonconforming items.
• Approve in-process production and conduct in-process audits; communicate adjustments to engineers.
• Approve finished products by confirming specs and tests; ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintain and publish inspection logs; track defects and alert management to quality problems.
• Collect and consolidate reject units; document in Quality Database and safekeep rejects.
• Report non-conforming material/product and hold production for high failure rate.
