Job summary

Manulife invites a Test Automation Engineer to join our Global Technology PH Team for the John Hancock project. You will strategize, implement, and manage automated tests for US Segment software applications, collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to ensure quality across the life cycle.

You will develop end‑to‑end testing strategies, participate in code reviews, and lead QA improvements while working in a hybrid setup with some night shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent.
• 4+ years hands-on software testing with automation.
• Experience with Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, Appium and WebDriverIO.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and CI/CD tools.
• Night shift work schedule (8PM–5AM) with hybrid 3x/week in-office.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Groovy, .NET, Node.js/React or Python.
• Strong Agile experience and testing strategy development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests and reports for bug tracking.
• Create end‑to‑end test strategies across the product life cycle.
• Analyze automation results and investigate failures for reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Define Testing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) aligned with goals.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product managers to address quality issues.
• Implement new quality standards to improve QA processes.
• Engage in Engineering Forums to share best practices.
• Document and apply leading QA practices for continuous improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and apply new testing techniques.
