Job summary

Umpisa Inc. in Makati, Philippines, is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the development of application designs and programs, guiding a small team of developers and coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business specifications and regulatory guidelines.

You will contribute to the design process, write code, perform unit tests, and document system architecture while championing Agile/Scrum practices and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering and systems analysis, release management, project management, or service transition.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical personnel and end-users at multiple levels.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders including third-party vendors.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business to provide design inputs and estimates for requirements documents.
• Document system design and program specifications in technical design documents.

Job Summary

The role involves overseeing the development of application designs and programs with varying levels of complexity, ensuring that they align with approved business specifications, regulatory guidelines, and company standards. In addition to managing a small team of developers, they actively contribute to the development process themselves.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for communications and coordination with key project stakeholders
• Collaborates with the Business to provide design inputs and estimates in the preparation of requirements documents
• Documents system design and program specification in technical design documents
• Writes programs and codes based on approved solution plan documents
• Conducts unit testing on written codes to ensure program performance per design at the unit level
• Contributes to quality, process and continuous improvement activities across all tasks and deliverables
• Coordinates with vendors or conducts its own investigation and resolution of errors reported during SIT and UAT
• Performs the above function in compliance with software development lifecycle standards of the company
• He/she shall also be responsible in the preparation of the following deliverables, in connection with assigned Project:
• Creation of detailed user stories (US) and acceptance criteria
• Business Requirements Document (when applicable)
• UAT test scripts, KT Documents, User Manuals, and Training Materials
• Software and/or Product Development Lifecycle
• Agile/Scrum Framework knowledge and experience
• Good analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Graduate of Information Technology, Business Administration, or any other related field.
