Job summary

AboitizPower Corporation is seeking a Project Cost Controller in the Philippines to oversee financial management, cost forecasting, and vendor payments for the Pangarap project. You will collaborate with the Project Development Manager, CEPO Project Cost Control Senior Specialist, Project Finance, SCM, and contract holders to ensure cost transparency and timely milestones.

The role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional communication, and governance compliance with ISO/ISMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of project experience, with at least 1 asset rejuvenation or brownfield project.
• Valid PRC License.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Project Cost Control Procedure, monitoring expenditures, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts against budgets to meet financial objectives.
• Processes EPC and vendor invoices, verifies contract compliance, and resolves payment issues; manages monthly accruals and ERP closeout.
• Uses ERP tools to handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders, service entries, and work orders; coordinates with budget holders and SCM.
• Prepares cost reports, variance analyses, and project dashboards; maintains auditable records per ISO standards and ISMS policies.

As Project Cost Controller, you will oversee financial management, cost forecasting, and vendor payment processing for the Pangarap project, ensuring strict budget compliance and seamless ERP integration to transform energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Project Development Manager, CEPO Project Cost Control Senior Specialist, Project Finance, SCM, and contract holders to maintain complete cost transparency, mitigate variances, and deliver key project milestones.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Implements the Project Cost Control Procedure, monitoring project expenditures, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts against approved budgets to maintain financial performance objectives.
• Processes EPC and vendor invoices, verifies contract compliance alongside SCM and contract holders, resolves payment issues, and manages monthly accruals and ERP closeout activities.
• Utilizes company ERP tools to handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders, service entries, and work orders, coordinating with budget holders and SCM to ensure timely cost capture.
• Prepares comprehensive cost reports, variance analysis, and project dashboards, while maintaining auditable physical and digital records in compliance with ISO standards and ISMS policies.

• Demonstrates sharp analytical skills and detail orientation to track, forecast, and reconcile complex project financial data and variations.
• Possesses strong cross-functional communication abilities to collaborate effectively with supply chain, finance, EPC contractors, and project leadership.
• Applies proactive problem-solving to resolve invoice discrepancies, streamline ERP workflows, and mitigate financial risks.
• Upholds high standards of governance, safety, and compliance with company policies and management system standards.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5 to 10 years of project experience, with at least 1 asset rejuvenation or brownfield project
• Valid PRC License

Technical / Functional Skills:

Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Google Workspace, and MS Office Suite Strong skills in project cost control procedures, budget forecasting, invoice validation, service entry, and accrual management
