Responsibilities
- Operate machines or equipment to produce goods according to specifications.
- Assemble parts or products using hand tools or machines.
- Inspect materials and finished products for defects or quality issues.
- Follow assembly instructions and ensure that products meet production standards.
Quality Control
- Monitor the production process to ensure that it adheres to company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of products and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Report defects or equipment malfunctions to supervisors for corrective action.
Packaging and Labeling
- Package finished products into appropriate containers or boxes.
- Ensure products are properly labeled and meet packaging specifications.
- Prepare products for shipment, ensuring that they are securely packed and ready for distribution.
Machine Operation and Maintenance
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery used in production.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks to keep machines running smoothly (e.g., cleaning, lubricating, or adjusting).
- Assist with machine repairs or adjustments when necessary.
Safety and Cleanliness
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and materials are stored properly.
- Follow company policies and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth production processes.
- Participate in team meetings or training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not always required. Training is often provided on the job.
