Job summary

OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. is seeking a suitably qualified Procurement Supervisor (Fixed Term) to ensure logistics run smoothly at Didipio mine on Luzon.

The role reports to the Superintendent Supply Chain and requires strong supplier management and procurement expertise. This 2-year fixed-term contract offers on-site accommodation, health insurance, travel to and from site, and opportunities to lead procurement initiatives, implement cost-saving strategies, and build ethical supplier

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience as a procurement supervisor.
• Deep understanding of Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management.
• Experience in strategic Procurement and Contract principles and practices.
• Budgeting and purchasing management experience.
• Hands on experience with supply chain management software (Pronto ERP).
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and oral communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Source suitable quality cost competitive suppliers and service providers.
• Maintain and build ethical supplier relationships and analyze performance.
• Raises and data entry of all purchase orders into the business system.
• Ensures procurement and delivery is compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Oversees implementation and compliance to Procurement Guidelines and Procedures.
• Manages communication for all engineering related activities.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with suppliers.
• Implements purchasing strategies and helps reduce procurement costs.
• Oversees open transactions and maintains accuracy.
• Monitors overdue and urgent purchase orders via regular expediting.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Procurement Supervisor (Fixed Term)toensure that the logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role will report to the Superintendent Supply Chain

• Source suitable quality cost competitive suppliers and service providers.

• Maintain and build highly ethical relationships with preferred suppliers and analyze supplier performance.

• Corresponds with vendors concerning inquiries about merchandise ordered. Commit stock and direct purchase orders under a competitive environment which maximizes commercial advantage.

• Raising and data entry of all purchase orders into the business system.

• Ensures efficient and effective procurement and delivery of supplies which are compliant with regulatory requirements.

• Oversees the implementation and compliance to policies specified in Procurement of Goods and Services Guidelines and Procedure.

• Manages relevant communication for all engineering related activities.

• Develops and maintains professional relationships with all suppliers and provides an effective interface with all departments.

• Implements various purchasing strategies and assistsin reducing procurement costs.

• Oversees the open transactions and drives to keep them accurate and relatively low.

• Monitors overdue and urgent purchase orders by performing regular and timely expediting

Educational Background

• A degree in BA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or similar relevant field

Work Experience and Background

• With at least five (5) years relevant working experience as aprocurementsupervisor

• Detailed understanding of the principles and practice of Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management.

• Experience in strategic Procurement and Contract principles and practices.

• Work experience in budgeting and purchasing management

• Hands on experience with supply chain management software (preferably, Pronto ERP System)

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
