Job summary

MC Group in the Philippines is seeking a Procurement Associate to support sourcing activities, manage supplier data, and analyze costs. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and coordination with internal teams and vendors.

You will collect data, prepare spend reports, maintain price lists, perform price comparisons, and assist in RFQ/RFP processes. A Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year in procurement or supply chain are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in an industrial trading environment.
• Experience in issuing and managing RFQs, purchase orders, and basic supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of procurement documentation and technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain procurement and supplier data to ensure databases and spreadsheets are accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare spend reports, summaries, and cost updates for review by Management
• Maintain supplier price lists, documentation of cost changes, and relevant procurement records.
• Perform initial data analysis, including price comparisons, spend breakdowns, and trend reviews.
• Support should-cost or cost breakdown exercises by gathering data and validating assumptions.
• Identify preliminary insights or trends that may highlight savings or process improvement opportunities.
• Conduct supplier research, profile potential vendors, and gather publicly available supplier capability information.
• Monitor market indicators, including commodity price movements and industry updates.
• Support supplier performance tracking by updating scorecards and recording service or pricing issues.
• Assist in preparing documents and data for sourcing events (e.g., RFI, RFQ, RFP).
• Compile supplier responses and organize information for evaluation by the Management
• Track sourcing timelines, documentation, and follow-ups as needed.
