Job summary

Egis Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex infrastructure projects. You will mentor junior engineers, develop sustainable solutions, and ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget, performing technical reviews, preparing detailed documentation, and conducting hydrological modeling to guide decisions.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities.
  • Experience in design of Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewer, Storm, Irrigation, District cooling, and Firefighting.
  • Working knowledge of HEC HMS, HEC RAS, EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD, SWMM.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D for BIM environments and clash resolution tools like Navisworks.

  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions and evaluate drainage systems.
  • Develop and assess surface water drainage systems to ensure efficient stormwater management and adherence to local regulations.

About the Role

As a Principal Engineer within our Infrastructure Team, you will play a key role in delivering complex Infrastructure projects and maintaining high standards of quality. You will collaborate with senior team members, provide technical input, and help ensure the smooth execution of multiple Infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversea the design and implementation of projects.

  • Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance checks on project deliverables
  • Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
  • Prepare reports calculations and design documentation
  • Conduct technical and quality reviews of projects, identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and assess surface water drainage systems to ensure efficient stormwater management and adherence to local regulations.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions and evaluate the impacts of drainage systems.

What do we need from you
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 15years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities.
  • Experience in designof Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewer, Storm, Irrigation, District cooling, and Firefighting.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages like HEC HMS, HEC RAS, EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD, SWMM.
  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs are a plus: ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER.
  • Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of clash resolution of utilities modeling software like Navisworks, Bentley Navigator, Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and lead large-scale projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
