Job summary

Code Metal is building a next-generation wargaming and decision-support platform for the DoW. We seek a Physics Programmer to implement a high-performance C++ runtime that executes physics, AI, sensor, and environmental models across a large engine.

You will own core engine systems, design an ECS architecture, and optimize for deterministic replay, multi-threaded execution, and memory efficiency in a demanding real-time environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional C++ development experience in production software.
• Experience shipping at least one commercial game or engine.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement the core C++ runtime for a large-scale wargaming platform.
• Own engine structure, performance, and long-term health of a substantial codebase.
• Design ECS architecture for large numbers of heterogeneous simulation entities.
• Build data-oriented storage, lifecycle, queries, scheduling, and deterministic replay.
