Responsibilities

• Safely drive and maneuver prime movers with trailers or container vans to transport goods efficiently and safely.
• Deliver and pick up containers or bulk cargo between ports, warehouses, and client locations according to the schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Supervise or assist in the proper loading and unloading of cargo to ensure safety and prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery receipts, and transport documents. Ensure proper completion and submission of delivery records.
• Follow all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Monitor fuel usage and record mileage for company tracking and reporting.
• Plan routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel and time efficiency. Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected throughout the trip.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients for smooth operations and delivery updates.
