Job summary

Upgrade Energy Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Pre-sales Design Engineer to translate customer requirements and site conditions into technically feasible, optimized solar and BESS solutions. You will develop design deliverables and support the Sales team throughout the proposal process.

This role emphasizes PV system sizing, PVsyst simulations, and detailed documentation, with collaboration across engineering and project teams to ensure compliance and commercial viability.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) with valid licensure.
• Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems and PEC/IEC standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and load profiles.
• Proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD, and related design tools.
• Experience with BESS sizing and energy storage applications.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technically feasible designs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple design projects with accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical proposals and design deliverables for solar and BESS projects.
• Prepare PV layouts, SLD, BOM, and system sizing.
• Perform PVsyst simulations and energy yield analysis.
• Conduct BESS sizing and energy storage calculations.
• Ensure designs meet site conditions, codes, and project constraints.
• Collaborate with Sales to translate requirements into proposals.
