Job summary

Avensys Consulting is seeking a Power BI Platform Engineer/Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise analytics platforms. You will administer Power BI environments, design dashboards, and collaborate with business and tech teams to deliver scalable BI solutions.

The role focuses on performance, governance, and continuous improvements within a high-performing BI ecosystem, with opportunities to lead platform enhancements.

Qualifications

• Proven 5+ years in Microsoft PowerBI environments (workspaces, capacity, governance, security).
• Strong expertise in Power BI platform administration (gateways, licensing, access control, dataset management).
• Proficiency in DAX, PowerQuery (M), SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Power environments, including workspaces and gateways, security and datasets, and scheduled refreshes.
• Design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that support business objectives.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver scalable BI solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements while mentoring team members and contributing to key technical decisions.
