Job summary

ECLARO in Metro Manila is seeking a Mid-Senior Database Administrator to lead PostgreSQL initiatives in the cloud, preferably Azure FlexServer. You will build scalable Postgres systems and guide the team through migrations and best practices.

Experience with SQL Server is a plus as most of the shop runs on SQL Server on prem or in Azure. You will mentor developers and DBAs as we introduce a new DBMS across the organization.

Qualifications

• We need someone who has run Postgres in the cloud and can design scalable cloud-based Postgres solutions.
• Foundational knowledge of building Postgres systems and migrations.
• Experience with SQL Server is a plus since most of the shop uses SQL Server on prem or in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Guide new developers and DBAs with the new DBMS.
• Lead PostgreSQL deployments in the cloud and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with teams to implement best practices for database management.

• Experience with SQL Server would be a great asset to this person, as the rest of the shop is 99% SQL Server on prem or Azure.
• Ability to guide new developers and DBAs with a new DBMS.
