Job summary

Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Metro Manila seeks a Pool Attendant to maintain our aquatic facilities with safety and professionalism.

This full-time role requires knowledge of pool chemistry, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver excellent guest service while following hygiene and safety standards. Fort Bonifacio location with weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification or equivalent required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Experience as Pool Attendant or similar pool maintenance role preferred.
• Knowledge of pool chemistry and safety protocols essential.
• Physically fit for lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas to ensure swimmer safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of pool water chemistry (pH, chlorine, etc.).
• Clean and maintain pool decks, changing areas, showers and surrounding facilities.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies with proper first aid/rescue procedures.
• Test and balance pool water daily using appropriate chemicals/equipment.
• Clean pool filters, skimmers and related equipment as part of routine maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and members.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily pool operations, chemical treatments and maintenance activities.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of pool areas for events.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pool Attendant to join our team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Pool Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our aquatic facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and professionalism. Your work will directly contribute to creating an enjoyable and secure environment for all our guests and members, making this position essential to the overall success of our hospitality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas continuously to ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers and guests
• Maintain accurate records of pool water chemistry, including pH levels, chlorine concentration and other vital parameters
• Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of pool decks, changing areas, showers and surrounding facilities
• Perform equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues or malfunctions to management promptly
• Enforce pool safety rules and regulations, ensuring guests comply with all established guidelines
• Respond to emergency situations with appropriate first aid and rescue procedures when necessary
• Test and balance pool water daily using appropriate chemicals and testing equipment
• Clean pool filters, skimmers and other equipment as part of routine maintenance
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, answering questions and addressing concerns professionally
• Maintain detailed logs of daily pool operations, chemical treatments and maintenance activities
• Assist with setup and breakdown of pool areas for special events or functions

What we're looking for

• Current Lifeguard Certification or equivalent qualification recognised by local authorities
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification demonstrating competency in emergency response
• Proven experience as a Pool Attendant or in a similar pool maintenance or aquatic facility role
• Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, water treatment and safety protocols
• Physical fitness and ability to perform lifting, bending and standing duties for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail and observation skills to identify potential hazards
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues
• Reliability and punctuality with a commitment to maintaining consistent standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of swimming pool maintenance equipment and cleaning techniques
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
