Job summary

OpsWerks is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize its internal developer platform, enabling developers to build, deploy, and run applications efficiently. You will maintain CI/CD pipelines, reduce cognitive load with a unified portal, and guide self-service workflows for deployment best practices.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, solid AWS knowledge, and leadership skills to influence engineering practices and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps/CI/CD experience in production across cloud environments.
• 3+ years with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, AuroraDB, CloudWatch).
• Advanced Git workflows, code reviews and pull requests.
• Experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, FluxCD or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Kotlin/Node.js/Python/Go in building applications.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize our internal developer platform for building, deploying and running apps.
• Maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for testing and deploying code.
• Centralize tools, documentation, and access via a unified portal.
• Maintain standard self-service workflows guiding deployment best practices.
• Escalation point for user support; lead investigations and admin tasks.
• Lead documentation, reporting, data analysis and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers, SREs, and platform teams to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
• Serve as SME in internal developer platforms and services; influence operational strategies.
• Lead engineering projects to drive technical excellence.
