Job summary

Sika Philippines Inc in Taguig City is seeking an experienced Plant Shift Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations across assigned shifts, ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety rules are followed.

You will supervise production teams, coordinate with maintenance, QA, and EHS, and drive continuous improvement while managing inventory and reporting on metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, preferably with a professional license where applicable, with strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing, production operations, and process safety management.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing, cement, specialty chemicals or similar process industry environment.
• Proven experience in leading production teams, managing plant operations, monitoring KPIs, troubleshooting process issues, and ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams.
• Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule (day, mid, and night shifts), including weekends and holidays when required, and capable of responding to operational emergencies or critical plant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently
• Monitor production schedules and ensure targets are met within the specified timeframes
• Lead and motivate production team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures and regulations across the facility
• Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks to maintain a safety-conscious work environment
• Inspect equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs and report issues to maintenance teams
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products on shift
• Investigate and document incidents, near-misses, and accidents, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Communicate effectively with other shift supervisors, management, and relevant departments to ensure continuity of operations
• Maintain accurate records of production, quality, and safety metrics
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency
