Job summary

Penbrothers, a leading HR and remote talent partner in the Philippines, seeks a Tier 2 Support Engineer focused on PKI and certificate management. You will design, implement, and support PKI solutions across cloud, on-prem, and containerized environments.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, TLS troubleshooting, and integrating PKI services via multiple protocols. The role requires Linux expertise, Microsoft tools familiarity, and onsite availability 3 days per week in Mandaluyong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, system administration, or cloud support roles.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Linux (administration and troubleshooting) and PKI concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem tools and services.
• Able to work onsite 3x/week at Rockwell Business Center, Mandaluyong City.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support PKI solutions.
• Manage the certificate lifecycle (issuance, renewal, expiration, revocation).
• Troubleshoot certificate-related issues (missing/expired/misconfigured).
• Work with CRLs and OCSP for revocation and distribution.
• Perform log analysis for cryptographic/TLS/certificate issues.
• Support TLS protocols, ciphers, token formats, and key generation algorithms.
• Integrate PKI services using ACME, CMP, EST, SCEP, and REST APIs.
• Deploy and support PKI in Azure cloud environments.
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot proxies, load balancers, and network layers.
• Work across Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Collaborate with security, platform, and infra teams on secure design.

About the Role

We are building a talent pool for Tier 2 Support Engineers to support enterprise scale certificate and key management initiatives. This role focuses on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate lifecycle management, cryptographic systems, and secure integrations across cloud, containerized, and on-prem environments.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, system administration, or cloud support roles
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Linux (administration and troubleshooting)
• Solid understanding of PKI concepts
• Public/private key fundamentals
• Certificate lifecycle awareness
• Ability to troubleshoot system and application-level issues
• Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem tools and services
• Amenable to working onsite 3x/week at Rockwell Business Center, Sheridan St., Mandaluyong City
