Job summary

South Star Drug is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in the Philippines. You will dispense medications accurately under physician orders, maintain proper storage for drugs, and ensure all products meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role includes counseling patients, maintaining records, and supervising daily drugstore operations while training pharmacy assistants and merchandisers. Strong attention to detail and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and accurately dispenses medications as prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Ensures good storage practices for all products including cold chain items and biologicals.
• All medicines sold and displayed in the store are safe, effective, quality and are FDA-registered products.
• Ensures and observes good dispensing practices.
• Handles customer complaints, product recalls, adverse drug reactions, returned products, expired/defective/damaged products in an efficient and organized manner.
• Conducts medication counselling to all patients.
• Creates and maintains a good record of patient records, prescriptions, policies, advisories, memo, logbooks and the like.
• Ensures and monitor the drugstore is compliant and up to date with regulatory standards and procedures.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the drugstore and train pharmacy assistants & merchandisers.
• Conducts regular periodic stock reconciliation/cycle count.
• Obtain cashiering, vault management and bookkeeping skills.
