Job description
People Ops Associate (Shared Services), City Storage Systems - Makati City

Who we are

At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.

As a People Operations Associate, you will help administer & document all daily operations for the local people team, and upkeep all content published to your region’s local knowledge library. You’ll build close relationships with the payroll manager, HRBP, and recruiting manager, and serve as the first point of contact for all people-related questions in your region. You’re a champion of customer experience and a problem solver. You listen attentively, focus on understanding and solving the real issue. You embody CSS values and mindsets, and influence others to do the same.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the HRBP & Recruitment Manager to support onboarding administration, including employee documentation, Workday data entry, orientation, technology setup, system access, and liaison with local benefits providers.
  • Fulfill basic report requests by extracting data from Workday and other HR data sources.
  • Be the primary point of contact for questions regarding HR programs and policies, and for any HR-related matters. Redirect or escalation issues to the relevant HR stakeholder as needed.
  • Administer, track & document people processes & local legal reporting requirements.
  • Partner with business leaders, other HR functions, and legal teams to build and optimize processes and policies.
  • Maintain the knowledge base content for your region - triage new content with local HRBP/team leads and drive to completion, monitor existing content to keep up to date.
  • Liaise with the Payroll associate to provide monthly employee payroll data.
  • Train managers on new timekeeping systems to stay in compliance.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 or more years of experience in an HR Associate or HR Analyst role.
  • Experience in a startup environment.
  • Experience with Workday and data analysis.
  • Experience drafting policy and process documents.
  • Experience in data management and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven organizational skills.
  • Demand for online food delivery is growing really fast! In the last 5 years, just in the US, the overall market has expanded 10X from $10B to $100B, and could expand to $500bn- $1T by 2030.
  • Changing the restaurant industry: You’ll be part of a team that helps restaurants succeed in online food delivery.
  • Collaborative environment: You will receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues and managers, helping you to learn, grow and achieve your goals, and you’ll work closely with other teams to ensure our customer’s success.
