Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming walls, ceilings, and other surfaces

• Apply paint, varnish, and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other application tools

• Mix paints and coatings to achieve the correct color and consistency

• Inspect painted surfaces to ensure quality, coverage, and adherence to specifications

• Maintain and care for painting equipment, tools, and materials in a safe and organized manner

• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment appropriately at all times

• Perform maintenance painting tasks and address touch-ups as required

• Collaborate with facility management and other team members to prioritize painting projects

• Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy throughout and after completion of projects

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar painting and decorating role

• Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques, painting methods, and coating applications

• Proficiency with painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and spray systems

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the painting industry

• Strong time management skills and ability to complete projects within agreed timelines

• Reliable, professional attitude with excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Relevant certifications or training in painting and surface preparation is an advantage
