Job summary

Oliver Wyman is actively seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join our Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting Practice. You will work within a team to analyze complex problems and deliver workable solutions for self-insured clients, with direct client interaction and visibility.

You’ll lead or contribute to loss reserving, pricing, predictive modeling, and capital modeling initiatives, reviewing analyses for accuracy and presenting findings in reports and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of two actuarial exams passed; progress toward ACAS/FCAS preferred.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience in property and casualty with large clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Focus on loss reserving projects with engagements in pricing/ratemaking, predictive modeling, economic capital modeling, and loyalty programs.
• Join projects, own tasks, maintain seamless client communication.
• Review and validate analysts' work for technical accuracy.
• Compile, verify and reasonability check client data.
• Apply actuarial theories to create statistical models.
• Prepare and oversee production exhibits and written reports.
• Assist or lead in proposals and presentations for prospects.
• Attend client meetings and marketing presentations as required.
