Job summary

A Japanese construction company is seeking a Safety Officer in Cebu City to ensure compliance with safety regulations and develop health and safety programs. This on-site role requires 2 years of construction experience and valid certifications. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, leading safety trainings, and overseeing adherence to safety standards. Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction.
• Valid Certificates of HIRAC, COSH, LCM, First Aid, Scaffolding.
• Experience in HIRAC, COSH, LCM, First Aid, Scaffolding.
• Experience in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and uphold workplace health and safety programs in line with regulatory requirements.
• Carry out risk assessments, safety audits, and incident reviews to identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Lead safety trainings and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel are informed and prepared.
• Ensure strict adherence to company and government safety standards across all operations.
• Oversee site activities to detect and address unsafe practices or conditions before they escalate.
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety records and reports for compliance and continuous improvement.
