Optum in the Philippines seeks an AR/Collections specialist to support US healthcare accounts in a BPO setting. You will read contracts for payment disputes, verify claim status, and pursue unpaid claims from insurers on behalf of providers.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 months AR/Collections experience, familiarity with UB Claims/UB04, EPIC System, and experience contacting payers. This is an on-site role in Alabang with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in Healthcare AR/Collections in a BPO setting.
• Familiar with UB Claims and UB04 forms.
• Experience in medical billing/AR collections and calling insurance.
• Willing to work on-site in Alabang; experience with US BPO healthcare accounts.

Responsibilities

• Read contracts for payment disputes.
• Work on the provider side.
• Verify claim status and collect unpaid claims from insurance.
• Process claims payments, manage denials, and track claim statuses.
• Manage collections for healthcare unpaid claims.
• Interact with customers to ensure invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Educate customers on online applications for claims and payments.
• Monitor balances and ensure payment per billed.
• Prepare invoices and reconcile with accounts receivable.
• Conduct QA and audits of collection activities.
• Handle documents, emails, and calls related to accounts.
• Follow up on AR collections, denial management, and appeals.
