Job summary

Zamboanga Nickel Corporation is seeking a skilled OSH supervisor to oversee daily safety programs on site. You will conduct inspections, monitor PPE use, and lead toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, reporting, coordinating drills, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety standards for mining/construction operations. Shift work and field assignments are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• Licensed Engineer and/or accredited Safety Officer preferred.
• Experience supervising occupational safety and health.
• Knowledge of OSH standards, risk assessment, incident investigation and emergency response.
• Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily OSH program implementation on site.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor PPE usage by all personnel.
• Lead toolbox meetings and safety orientations.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; prepare reports.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and drills.
• Monitor contractor safety compliance and permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain safety records and documentation.
• Assist in government reports submission.
• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement of safety culture.
• Ensure environmental, health and safety standards in mining/construction.
