Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrician, preferably in the mining industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety protocols
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems under the supervision of Chief Electrician.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems, motors, generators, and other mining equipment
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
• Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the maintenance team
• Document all work completed and maintain detailed records of electrical systems
