Job summary

Newcore Industries International Inc is seeking a Cost Controller/Project Controls professional in the Philippines to oversee project costs, budgets, and forecasts across infrastructure initiatives. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Finance teams and a focus on accuracy and compliance.

The position requires a Civil Engineering-related degree, a licensed engineer is preferred, and 2–4 years in cost control or project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in cost control, quantity surveying, project controls, or construction project management.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with project cost management, contracts, change orders, and project documentation.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other project management or cost-control software.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project requirements.
• Willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs, commitments, expenditures, and overall budget utilization.
• Prepare and maintain project cost reports, cost forecasts, and financial monitoring reports.
• Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Analyze cost trends and provide recommendations to prevent cost overruns.
• Monitor project progress and its impact on cost and budget performance.
• Review purchase orders, contracts, change orders, and other cost-related documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Finance teams regarding project costs.
• Assist in preparing and evaluating variation orders, claims, and additional works.
• Maintain accurate cost records and project cost-control databases.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and management updates.
• Support project forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and budget revisions.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company cost-control procedures.
• Perform other cost control and project-related tasks as assigned.
