Observability Engineer

About The Role

The Observability Engineer designs and implements scalable data pipelines for ETL processes, integrating logs, metrics, and traces into a centralized observability platform. Develops and optimizes observability frameworks, sets up real-time dashboards and alerts, and leverages automation and machine learning to improve system performance and reduce MTTD and MTTR. Provides diagnostic tools and insights for incident response, collaborates with DevSecOps and IT teams to align with Agile practices, and maintains documentation to support continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines to collect, transform, and load (ETL) data from various systems into a centralized observability platform.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of the observability framework, enhancing data collection and monitoring across applications, infrastructure, and networks.
• Set up real-time dashboards, alerts, and anomaly detection tools using APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and log management platforms to ensure proactive incident detection.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including logs, metrics, and traces, into a single observability platform for comprehensive analysis and correlation.
• Leverage automation and machine learning to streamline data ingestion, improve system performance, and reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
• Provide data insights and diagnostic tools to support rapid response during incidents and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Work with DevSecOps, SRE, and IT Operations teams to align observability practices with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and ensure system reliability.
• Maintain clear documentation on data pipelines, observability processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
