Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients, address inquiries, log procedures, and maintain confidentiality.

Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Medical Technologist with specialized training in Nuclear Medicine to safely manage radioisotopes, operate imaging systems, conduct lab procedures, and deliver compassionate care in our Nuclear Medicine department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Radiopharmaceutical & Lab Operations: Safely handle, prepare, dispense, and dispose of radioactive materials; perform laboratory work and Radioimmunoassay (RIA) per Nuclear Laboratory protocols.

• Clinical Imaging & Patient Care: Perform scintigraphic procedures, operate imaging equipment (including CT when credentialed), assist with radionuclide therapies under Authorized User supervision, and support patients before, during, and after procedures.

• Radiation Safety & Quality Assurance: Implement radiation safety programs in accordance with PNRI regulations, maintain instrument quality control, execute QA activities for clinical results, and assist in emergency response protocols.

• Administration & Records: Schedule patient appointments, address inquiries, log procedural/census registries, maintain patient confidentiality, and manage departmental documentation.

• Department Operations & Development: Participate in risk management, call/daily rosters, continuing education, research, student/intern training, and floating duties across hospital areas when required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.

• Licensure & Experience: Registered/Licensed Medical Technologist with at least 6 months of nuclear medicine experience and CMR (Certificate of Medical Radiation) training.

• Skills: Proficient in radiation safety and current nuclear medicine practices, computer literate, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and solid organizational/multi-tasking ability.
