Job summary

Talkpush is seeking a Data Engineer Associate to join our hybrid Manila team. You will design and implement data warehouse solutions, build ETL pipelines in GCP and SQL, and develop analytics tools to support clinical, hospital performance, and corporate metrics.

The role emphasizes cloud-based data engineering with BigQuery, Scala/Java/Python, and modern BI/data workflows in a healthcare context. Night shift with hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent.
• Ability to build and optimize data sets and 'big data' data pipelines.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on processes and data to identify opportunities.
• Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency, and metadata.
• Strong SQL and relational database design/development skills.
• Development experience with cloud-based modern data warehouses such as Google BigQuery or equivalent.
• Experience with relational SQL databases including BigQuery or equivalent, and languages like Scala, Java, and Python.
• Understanding of big data tools like Kafka, Spark; workflow tools such as Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Assembling small to medium complex data sets to meet business requirements.
• Building data pipelines for ETL using GCP and SQL technologies.
• Developing analytical tools to provide actionable insights into key performance metrics.
• Collaborating with data, design, and product teams on data-related issues.
• Participating in unit and system testing and following change control processes.
• Design, develop, and deploy data warehouse solutions using CI/CD.
• Identify data integrity issues and analyze data/process flows for improvements.
• Monitor system performance and optimize query execution plans.
• Work with Integration Architect to develop, test and deploy data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing solutions as required.
