Job summary

Metrobank in the Philippines seeks a Network Security Engineer to design and enforce security plans, ensuring best practices across network and system security. You will support enterprise security projects, including defining configuration standards, testing, and implementation.

You will act as SME on security of assigned domains (endpoints, OS, databases) and help mature security tools for prevention and detection of incidents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any college degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security protocols.
• 3+ years’ experience in designing and implementing security solutions; strong analytical skills.
• Certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed designs for security implementations based on approved IT architecture.
• Formulates and maintains IT security policies and technical standards.
• Provide SME support for IT security and network infrastructure architecture.
• Evaluate cost-effective security solutions and prepare business cases.
• Manage testing of technical controls and monitor implementation.
• Define standard configurations for security tools and devices.
• Conduct regular security reviews and ensure controls are effective.
• Collaborate with ISD departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
• Establish disaster recovery strategies for security tools and test regularly.
• Stay updated on evolving security threats and technologies.
