Job summary

White Cloak Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Developer to build cross-platform mobile apps using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript. You will collaborate with product, design, backend and QA to integrate APIs and real-time features while maintaining performance and resilience.

You will own end-to-end mobile features, ensure responsive interfaces, manage application state, and contribute to architecture, testing, and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/related field.

Join our engineering team as a Mobile Developer to build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications. You will deliver reliable, user-friendly digital experiences by developing end-to-end mobile features with React Native, Expo, and TypeScript, collaborating closely with product, design, backend, and QA to integrate APIs and real-time functionality while ensuring performance and resilience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
• Build end-to-end mobile features covering multiple user journeys and screens.
• Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces based on product and design requirements.
• Integrate REST APIs and real-time services into mobile applications.
• Implement real-time features such as chat, notifications, live status updates, and other event-driven functionality.
• Manage application state using tools such as React Query, Zustand, Redux, Legend-State, or similar state management libraries.
• Implement mobile navigation using Expo Router or similar navigation solutions.
• Ensure application reliability and performance, including handling unstable network conditions and implementing appropriate fallback mechanisms.
• Collaborate with backend developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for features, architecture, and development workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and continuous improvement of mobile applications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Strong experience with React Native and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Expo and Expo Router.
• Experience integrating and working with REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of React fundamentals, component-based architecture, and state management.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Understanding of mobile application development best practices, including performance, responsiveness, and error handling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Query or similar data-fetching libraries.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Legend-State, Zustand, or Redux.
• Experience implementing real-time communication, including chat, video, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), or similar technologies.
• Experience working with third-party SDKs and APIs.
• Familiarity with mobile payment integrations, authentication, file uploads, or other complex mobile workflows.
• Experience working in healthtech, fintech, e-commerce, or other enterprise applications.
• Experience writing technical documentation and contributing to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
