Job summary

Vitamin Angels seeks a Technical Consultant (Senior Health Program Officer) to lead the integration and scale-up of Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) within the National Nutrition Program in Manila, Philippines. The Independent Contractor will advise, train, and coordinate with the DOH and subnational partners over 12–24 months.

The role focuses on policy development, planning, monitoring, and knowledge management to strengthen maternal nutrition programs and MMS delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in maternal health, nutrition, public health programming, or health systems strengthening.
• Experience supporting policy development, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder coordination.
• Knowledge of MMS, iron-folic acid supplementation, and antenatal care programs.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory and policy guidance to integrate MMS into the National Nutrition Program.
• Support planning, implementation, and scale-up of MMS activities at national and subnational levels.
• Strengthen monitoring, reporting, and learning systems related to MMS implementation.
• Coordinate with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders for MMS scale-up.
• Develop and disseminate policy briefs, technical documents, and best practices.
