B Publishing, a health and wellness self-publishing company, seeks a Mid-Level Video Editor (Remote) to join its Performance Marketing team. The role focuses on performance editing to drive conversions, using AI workflows and diverse assets to craft short-form ads across major platforms.

You will collaborate with the Lead Video Editor to elevate creative quality, manage assets, and deliver high-impact, scalable content in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong experience editing paid social ads and short-form performance creative.
• Advanced understanding of retention editing, pacing, hooks, and direct-response editing.
• Hands-on experience with AI video/audio tools such as VEO3, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Seedance, Runway, Kling AI.
• Experience editing for Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts.

Responsibilities

• Edit high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other paid social platforms.
• Create short-form video ads using AI-generated assets, UGC, stock footage, motion graphics, voiceovers, and organic clips.
• Build strong openings, scroll-stopping hooks, pattern interrupts, and retention-focused sequences.
• Edit with pacing, clarity, emotional pull, and conversion-focused storytelling.

Video Editor (Remote - Anywhere)

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Video Editor to join our Performance Marketing team and help create high-performing paid social ads for a fast-scaling DTC health and wellness brand.

This is not a traditional video editing role. We need someone who understands that performance editing is not just about making videos look good. It is about creating videos that grab attention, communicate clearly, build trust, and drive conversions.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled editor with strong experience in short-form performance creative and AI-powered video workflows. You should be comfortable working with AI-generated assets, UGC-style content, organic footage, stock footage, voiceovers, and creative briefs.

You will work closely with the Lead Video Editor to improve creative quality, support the editing team, organize tools and assets, and help raise the overall standard of performance creative production.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Video Editing

• Edit high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other paid social platforms.
• Create short-form video ads using AI-generated assets, UGC, stock footage, motion graphics, voiceovers, and organic clips.
• Build strong openings, scroll-stopping hooks, pattern interrupts, and retention-focused sequences.
• Edit with a strong understanding of pacing, clarity, emotional pull, and conversion intent.
• Adapt edits based on creative strategy, ad performance, and feedback from Creative Strategists and Media Buyers.
• Produce multiple variations and iterations of winning ads quickly.

AI-Powered Creative Workflows

• Use AI tools to create, enhance, and iterate video assets.
• Work with tools such as VEO3, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Seedance, Runway, Kling AI, or similar AI video/audio platforms.
• Create realistic AI-driven video outputs with attention to natural lip sync, voice matching, facial expressions, and believable human performances.
• Use prompting techniques to generate stronger AI assets, scenes, voices, characters, and visual sequences.
• Stay updated on AI video tools, trends, workflows, and viral content formats.
• Help the team improve AI-assisted production speed and creative quality.

Creative Quality & Team Support

• Understand what makes an ad perform from an editing perspective.
• Analyze winning ads and apply creative insights to future edits.
• Identify editing patterns, hooks, pacing, and formats that are working.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong experience editing paid social ads and short-form performance creative.
• Advanced understanding of retention editing, pacing, hooks, pattern interrupts, engagement-driven storytelling, and direct-response editing.
• Hands-on experience with AI video/audio tools such as VEO3, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Seedance, Runway, Kling AI, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of AI prompting, natural lip sync, voice cloning, facial expressions, realistic AI human performances, and AI-generated scenes or characters.
• Experience editing for Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work with both AI-generated and organic assets.
• Fast editing speed with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume performance marketing environment.
