Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a mid-level backend developer to build and run Node.js/TypeScript microservices that power lending, transaction, user and notification services. You will collaborate with our Flutter mobile and Next.js admin teams and ensure production readiness on AWS.

The role requires strong backend experience, API security practices, and a willingness to work within an Agile workflow and PR-based code reviews. On-site in Santolan, Pasig. Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js (v20+), including async patterns, error handling and project structure.
• Production experience building REST APIs with Express or a similar framework.
• Solid relational database skills in MySQL or PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, transactions and query tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with an event or message broker (Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar).
• Experience with authentication and API security: JWT, OTP, request validation and OWASP basics.
• Comfortable with Docker and with deploying and debugging services on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, load balancers).
• Writes automated tests as part of normal work, and follows Git‑based PR workflows.
• Uses AI‑assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar) effectively and responsibly. Reviews, tests and understands all generated code before merging.
• Clear written communication in English, and able to work with mobile and frontend developers.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional work experience as a Backend Developer.

Required Qualifications

Salary Range: ₱30,000–₱50,000

Work Location: Santolan, Pasig City

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Nice to have

• Fintech, lending or payments experience, especially with Philippine rails (GCash, InstaPay, PESONet) or Xendit.


• Familiarity with BSP/SEC compliance, KYC flows or the Data Privacy Act.

Socket.IO Or Other WebSocket Experience At Scale.

• KrakenD or another API gateway.


• Terraform and AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy pipelines; Azure DevOps Pipelines.


• Redis for caching or rate limiting.


• Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging, Expo) and SMS gateways (M360).


• AWS Rekognition or other identity verification and face matching services.


• Observability with Sentry or New Relic.
