Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Lead to provide technical leadership in the design, delivery, and evolution of modern data and analytics platforms. The role will lead the development of scalable, secure, governed, and high-performing data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft data technologies. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in enterprise data and analytics, with the ability to translate business requirements into modern data platform strategies and practical technical solutions. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering and analytics teams, cloud and security specialists, and other technology stakeholders to establish standards, guide delivery, and ensure successful adoption of Microsoft Fabric. This is a senior technical leadership position combining architecture, solution design, delivery oversight, stakeholder management, technical governance, and hands‑on technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Fabric Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise‑grade modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Define scalable data architecture patterns leveraging OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI capabilities.
  • Establish technical standards, reusable patterns, development practices, and architectural principles for Microsoft Fabric implementations.
  • Provide technical direction to data engineers, developers, BI professionals, and other delivery teams.
  • Review solution designs and ensure that implementations meet agreed standards for scalability, security, performance, governance, and maintainability.
  • Guide teams in selecting appropriate Fabric capabilities based on business, technical, and operational requirements.
Data Engineering & Analytics Solutions
  • Lead the design and implementation of data ingestion, transformation, integration, and analytics solutions across batch, streaming, and near real-time processing requirements.
  • Oversee the development and optimization of data pipelines, Lakehouse and Warehouse models, and enterprise semantic models.
  • Apply advanced SQL, data modelling, and analytical design principles to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
  • Provide technical oversight for Power BI semantic models, reporting solutions, and enterprise analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure solutions are designed to support trusted, reusable, and business‑ready data products.
Data Strategy, Governance & Security
  • Translate business and enterprise data strategies into actionable Microsoft Fabric architecture and implementation roadmaps.
  • Establish data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, access control, and security practices across the data platform.
  • Promote governance and security‑by‑design throughout solution architecture and delivery.
  • Work with relevant teams to apply Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Fabric governance capabilities where appropriate.
  • Ensure data solutions align with organizational standards, privacy requirements, security controls, and compliance expectations.
Platform Operations & Optimization
  • Provide technical leadership for the ongoing operation and lifecycle management of Microsoft Fabric environments.
  • Establish effective approaches for monitoring, performance management, troubleshooting, deployment, and platform maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
  • Support the development of operational documentation, technical standards, runbooks, and knowledge‑sharing materials.
  • Drive continuous improvement across platform architecture, engineering practices, and operational processes.
Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, data requirements, and analytical use cases.
  • Translate business needs into practical technical architectures, delivery approaches, and incremental implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, developers, cloud architects, security teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Advise stakeholders on Microsoft Fabric capabilities, architectural trade‑offs, technical risks, and recommended approaches.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through implementation, deployment, and operational readiness.
  • Support the adoption of modern data platform practices across delivery teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 10-15+ years of overall experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, or related technology domains.
  • 7-10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise data platforms and architectures.
  • Proven experience providing technical leadership for large-scale data and analytics initiatives.
  • Strong hands‑on and architectural experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platform technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience translating enterprise data strategies into technical architectures and implementation roadmaps.
  • Strong experience working with business and technical stakeholders across complex, cross-functional environments.
