Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the Philippines is seeking an experienced AutoCAD MEP Draftsman/Designer to prepare and revise MEP shop drawings, coordinate designs with various disciplines, and ensure compliance with project standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering, has proven experience in construction, and is proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of MEP systems is essential, alongside strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) required.
• Proven experience as AutoCAD MEP Draftsman/Designer in construction preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); Revit knowledge is a plus.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise MEP shop drawings, as-built drawings, and layout plans using AutoCAD
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other disciplines
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site conditions
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements and standards
• Assist engineers in design development and detailing
• Update drawings based on site instructions, RFIs, and revisions
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
• Conduct quantity take-offs when required (basic support)
• Support site team for drawing-related concerns

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or related field
• Proven experience as AutoCAD MEP Draftsman/Designer (construction industry preferred)
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge in Revit is an advantage
• Familiar with MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good coordination and communication skills
