Job description

Chief Mechanic / General Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing faults and equipment defects
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts
• Repair damaged / defective equipment parts
• Perform major repairs when necessary
• Perform minor repairs on SSI equipment on site
• Clean, lubricate and conduct routine services on SSI equipment
• Consult with co workers on a given task
• Report damaged and faulty equipment to management

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift heavy machinery
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
