Your Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems (e.g., conveyors, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures or malfunctions in machinery and production equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to inspect and repair worn-out components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend the life of machinery.
Installation & Setup
- Install new machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring they are set up and configured according to specifications.
- Ensure that equipment is installed according to safety guidelines, industry standards, and the company’s specifications.
- Assist with the setup and calibration of new or modified mechanical systems to meet production requirements.
Technical Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and instruments (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges, etc.) to identify faults in machinery.
- Work closely with the production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues that may affect production efficiency.
Safety Compliance
- Follow strict safety protocols while working on machinery and in the industrial environment.
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and the company’s health and safety guidelines.
- Report any unsafe working conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Documentation & Reporting
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Document parts used in repairs and order replacements when necessary.
- Prepare reports on the performance of equipment and suggest improvements or upgrades to optimize operations.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other maintenance personnel, supervisors, and ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss upcoming maintenance schedules, equipment concerns, and improvements to mechanical systems.
Parts & Inventory Management
- Assist in the ordering, receiving, and storage of replacement parts and components for machinery.
- Ensure that spare parts and tools are readily available for maintenance tasks and that inventory levels are accurately tracked.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in industrial mechanics.
- Suggest process improvements or system upgrades based on practical experience with machinery.
Your Profile
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or mechanical systems is preferred).
- Experience:
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic, maintenance technician, or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with a variety of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, HVAC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet production demands while ensuring equipment reliability.
