Job summary

Responsibilities

• Interface with customer, PM, S&OP, Purchasing, DM and cross-BU Planning teams.
• Forecast customer demand and coordinate with sales for stocking planning.
• Drive improvement projects related to STR, inventory and LT reduction.
• Develop material flow value streams and optimize supply chains with Planning teams.
• Generate reports and analyze shortfalls; implement procedures to hit targets.
• Review MPS, material availability and on-time production completion regularly.
• Define procedures for material ordering, acknowledgement, tracking, and in-transit arrivals.
• Circulate weekly inventory reports and set next three months inventory levels.
• Develop parts and suppliers with quick turnaround for NPD projects.
• Coordinate forecast and POT with customers; review PIR in SAP as needed.
• Review forecast accuracy with demand management to improve forecast accuracy.

Job Overview

The position is in middle-level management, responsible for the DND Business Unit. The role is to balance load, stakeholder management, production planning, scheduling, inventory management, maintain good delivery performance and reduce provision for obsolescence.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with customer, PM, S&OP, Purchasing, DM, and cross-BU Planning community
• Forecast customer demand and work with sales for stocking planning
• Drive improvement projects related to STR improvement, inventory/freight cost reduction, and LT reduction
• Develop material flow value streams and work with Planning teams to optimize supply chains
• Generate reports, analyse reasons for shortfall, develop systems and install procedures/processes to achieve the targets
• Conduct reviews on a daily/weekly basis on MPS, material availability, and on-time production completion
• Define procedures, stabilize processes for material ordering, order acknowledgement, tracking in-transit material, and arrival
• Circulate the inventory report weekly to all MRP controllers and arrive at the inventory levels for the next three months
• Develop parts as well as suppliers within the expected time frame; required quick turnaround time for NPD projects
• Arrange for forecast and Planned Order Trading (POT) from customers. Review the demand and arrange for PIR in SAP as required.
• Review Forecast accuracy level and highlight to demand management to improve forecast accuracy level

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering
• Min. 6 years’ experience and practitioner in the field of Supply chain
• Strong familiarity with SAP PO/DO/R3 and various SAP modules in supply chain
• SAP user or SAP super user experience
• Strong English communication skills to interact with regional business support teams
