Job summary

SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. In Manila, the MDM Specialist will ensure quality and timeliness of master data setup and maintain internal controls.

This role requires 3+ years in Master Data Management, a Business degree, proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business
• 3+ years of professional experience in Master Data Management
• Experience in financial systems (knowledge of Oracle E Business Suite is nice to have)
• Familiarity with MS Excel
• Analytical skills with high focus on the details
• Demonstrate proper attitude in relation to assigned responsibilities
• Able to work independently
• Strong team player
• Good understanding of data structures and architecture

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of Master Data set up/maintained in the system.
• MDM Specialist will ensure internal controls for master data records are in place and effective.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of master data entry in the system without sacrificing timeliness in completing the process.
• Interpret information correctly and able to make sound decisions to support the business while maintaining controls during set up.
• Apply corporate rules and best practices when reviewing requests to identify errors in global data fields and rejects, escalates or remediates errors, if any.
• Create or update existing documentation and training materials related to Master Data Management process.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality of data.
• Perform regular review and clean-up of master data.
• Ensure internal controls relating to maintenance of master data are in place and effective.
• Support implementation of master data process improvement initiatives.
• Informing Supervisors of any issues or opportunities with existing customers, such as outdated customer contact information.
• Being the primary contact with the country-based account management team, commercial and other related departments/ / function
• Manage and drive responsibilities to Master Data team, establishing strong relationships with business contacts, and making decisions based on results.
• Perform user acceptance testing on defect resolution and enhancements.
