Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification from an accredited mechanical or marine trade school.
• Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines for marine use.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul gasoline and diesel marine engines.
• Troubleshoot propulsion systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize readiness.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and determine corrective actions.
• Repair components with hand and power tools; follow manuals and diagrams.
• Prepare maintenance records and reports; ensure regulatory compliance.
