Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer with a passion for quality who can drive continual improvement at all levels. You will support the quality systems, assist with root cause analyses, and help teams to succeed in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

This role offers exposure to collaboration across TI fabs and business units, with assignments that are meaningful, challenging, and designed to develop your expertise while advancing TI’s quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other related engineering degree.
• 5-8 years experience in quality or engineering role in semiconductor industry.
• Proficient in program management, semiconductor process flow, quality systems like 8D, SPC, DOE, 7QC tools and Quality system audit.
• Excellent communicator, ability to drive larger groups.
• Experience with customer facing programs/work.

Responsibilities

• Driving solutions to customer returns
• Interacting as a bridge between business unit quality team and the fab; identifying opportunities for continual improvement and driving to solutions
• Leading small cross-functional teams that provide timely and accurate root cause analyses and solutions to challenges facing the factory and TI
• Effectively communicating current performance, opportunities, and next steps in internal and external forums
• Interacting and communicating daily with engineering peer groups inside and outside of the fab, and occasionally with external customers
• Being the primary contact for the fab with the business unit quality teams

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other related engineering degree
• Experienced hire with 5-8years experience in quality or engineering role (or combination of both) in semiconductor industry
• Proficient in program management, semiconductor process flow, quality systems like 8D, SPC, DOE, 7QC tools and Quality system audit
• Excellent communicator, ability to drive larger groups
• Experience with customer facing programs/work

• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery

• Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
• Possess exceptional customer interface and problem solving skills
• Fab Process or Product Engineering experience
• Familiar with MBayse, Spotfire, 8D, Root cause analysis techniques
• Experience with standard Quality Systems such as QTS, SFC, QC Story, Alerts
